Van perindopril is dat geen bekende bijwerking. Het komt wel voor bij andere bloeddruktabletten: die uit de groep van de zogenaamde "calciumantagonisten" zoals nifedipine of amlodipine. Ook dit zijn effectieve, goedwerkende tabletten, maar bij sommige patiënten kunnen deze gepaard gaan met (overigens ongevaarlijk) vocht vasthouden in de enkels.
